Haney expected to enter the ring at 165 pounds. Haney has had a one-year layoff from fighting. Sugar Shane Mosley is in Haney's corner. Haney and Mosley linked up at the Ring Magazine Awards in January in London when Mosley offered criticism. Devin Haney is still undefeated. Haney is an orthodox fighter. He has vacillated between being exciting and being tactical. He throws lead left hooks in this fight. He is constantly moving laterally, making it impossible for Ramirez to throw meaningful punches. He has not shown much of his offensive skills in this fight. He did not take any punishment so far in this fight, unlike his last fight against Ryan Garcia. Haney was telling Ramirez repeatedly that he would hurt him.
