He believes he is a 154-pound fighter. He was signed to face Jermell Charlo twice and both fights were cancelled. The two Charlo fights were in two different countries over several months and both got cancelled. He moved his entire family to a gym 50 miles away to prepare for this fight. He was once ranked in the top 15 at 154 pounds by the WBA（世界ボクシング協会）. He doesn't like body shots and his elbows drop when hit there. He is not really a puncher but is a tough come-forward pressure fighter with great conditioning. He is a cagey smart fighter. Mazoudier uses his right hand as a weapon and lands combinations.
